NEW PATIENTS
New Patients of Foundation Surgical Hospital are made familiar with our process and facilities in order to facilitate a relaxed experience and a successful procedure.
As a new patient, you will be given a tour of the hospital and a pre-operative educational class where you learn what to expect before, during and after your surgery. Our goal is to provide information to prepare you for surgery and ease any anxiety you or your family members may experience during the healing process. Topics discussed include where to come the day of surgery, pain control, anesthesia, respiratory therapy, equipment used during and after the hospital stay and discharge planning.
A SUCCESSFUL SURGERY
We encourage family/caregivers to take part in our pre-operative educational class so they can be of utmost support to you during your recuperation. Prior to the class you will see one of our pre-admission nurses for an assessment, lab work and any other testing ordered by the surgeon or anesthesiologist before your surgery.
Patients pre-register in the business office upon arrival the morning of surgery to ensure all of your paperwork and financial information is in order.
If you are visiting one of our physicians for the first time and would like more information, please visit the physicians page and select your physician. On each individual physician’s page you will be able to print and fill out the admissions forms before your appointment. |
