EDDIE T. MATSU, M.D.
Dr. Eddie Matsu earned his Bachelor of Science from the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg, Canada prior to graduating from the University of Manitoba School of Medicine in Winnipeg, Canada. He then completed an internship at the University of
Southern California Medical Center in Los Angeles, California, followed by a general surgery residency at UCLA-Kern County General Hospital in Bakersfield, California. Rounding out his education, Dr. Matsu did a cardiovascular fellowship and an orthopedic surgery residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. Dr. Matsu is certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery and licensed to practice in the state of Texas.
Dr. Matsu served as the Medical Director for the Houston Aeros Professional Hockey Team for 14 years and as an NFL Disability Examiner for Bert Bell HOSH and the NFL Players Association. Additionally, for ten years he was an active member of the Texas Medical Association Committee for Sports Medicine and past President of the Houston Orthopedic Society.
