DAN EIDMAN, M.D.
Dan Eidman received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Texas at Austin in 1968. He then enlisted in the military and proudly served with the United States Army Infantry branch from 1968 through 1970. Dr. Eidman served with the Americal Division in the republic of Vietnam from October 1969 thru December 1970. He was then given an honorable discharge from the United States Army. Dr. Eidman received his medical degree from the Baylor College of Medicine in 1980. He is licensed to practice in the State of Texas, and is certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery.
SPECIALTIES
Dr. Eidman has focused his practice mainly on spinal surgery for the past several years. He specializes in primary and division spinal surgery of the lumbar region, including decompression and fusion. He also performs primary spinal surgery on the cervical region. Dr. Eidman does revision spinal surgery on the cervical and lumbar regions as well. He also does arthroscopic surgery as well as joint replacement surgery.
APPOINTMENTS & ASSOCIATIONS
Dr. Eidman's academic appointments include assistant clinical professor of orthopedic surgery at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, as well as the University of Health Science Center in Houston. His hospital affiliations include Houston Orthopedic & Spine Hospital, St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital, Twelve Oaks Hospital, Methodist Hospital, and he is also on the consulting staff at the Veterans Administration Hospital and Ben Taub General Hospital
Dr. Eidman is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. His professional memberships also include the American Medical Association, Texas Medical Association, Harris County Medical Society, Houston Orthopedic Society, Texas Orthopedic Association, and the North American Spine Society.
