PATIENT CARE SERVICES: PERSONAL ASSISTANT LIAISON
Available Shifts
Weekdays:
3 p.m. - 11 p.m. and 7 p.m. - 7 a.m.
Weekends: 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. and 7 p.m. - 7 a.m.
This position assists in patient care throughout nursing areas; and is responsible for the safe transport patients via wheelchair or stretcher, dispatch services and appropriate documentation of services. Provides the services of an Observer for any patient on a patient care unit who has been assessed to require constant observation in order to maximize his/her safety. Performs general receptionist and clerical duties in order to facilitate efficient functioning of the nursing unit.
JOB REQUIREMENTS |

 |
High School graduate or GED |
|
|
At least 1 year experience in hospital or nursing home |
|
|
Training/equivalent experience as a nursing assistant, CNA, EMT, or Medical Assistant |
|
|
Knowledge of basic medical terminology preferred |
|
|
Basic computer knowledge |
|
|
Current BLS |
|
|
Ability to move or lift patient and equipment up to 50 pounds |
|
|
